Westway Trust wants us to comment

Following protests about the plans to build a glass building under the Westway to replace the tented area the Trust has made changes. It says it will soon be knocking on doors in the local area and attending resident meetings asking if it has correctly understood our feedback and for ideas about what we want to see go on in the 5,000 square feet of arts, heritage and community spaces they’ve added to the scheme. Last year Westway Trust secured funding to construct a ‘pop up’ high street on Thorpe Close to help attract people to the market and arcade, support new businesses and provide arts and culture opportunities. In the coming weeks we’ve been asked to put our thinking caps on and help design the spaces and what goes on in and around them. We’ll let you know where to send ideas.
