Viennese coffeehouse on Golborne

IMG_6708Portuguese, Danish, Italian and now a Viennese coffeehouse Kipferl (named after a tasty little biscuit) has joined the exotic new foodie/coffee hub of Golborne Road. All the products and everything in it are from Austria, from rich chocolatey Sachertorte to Apfel Strudel (pic left, mmm  …) The coffee is good too, with Austrian melange, like a small latte, £2.95, the most popular. Breakfast includes ‘egg in a glass’ and at lunch you can feast on Austrian sausages or Wiener Schnitzel for £12.80.

It’s been open two months, and manager Nico Haller (pic top) says it has already become popular with the large local Austrian population, who also come to buy wines like peppery Gruener Veltliner wine and Blaufränkisch dac Classic. kipferl
