Try not to be tempted by the ting ting

A Notting Hill local was just caught with a mobile phone in her hand while her car was stationery, fined (it’s due to go up from £100 to £150) and had to do an evening’s remedial driving training. So for those of you, including me, who thought it was alright to use a mobile in a car when you have stopped, it is not. You are only allowed to use the phone in the car if you have it in a hands-free holder. A good rule for everyone though … in the past 10 years more than 205 people have been killed in Britain in accidents involving drivers using hand-held mobile phones at the wheel, and the number is increasing every year.
