The Christians comes to the Gate

Opening at the Gate Theatre on 8th September – 3rd October The Christians by Lucas Hnathwill is directed by Gate Artistic director, Christopher Haydon. Pastor Paul started preaching in a store front and twenty years later he has a congregation of thousands. A sermon is preached that rocks the core values of his congregation and the idolised Pastor has to deal with the resulting schisms. Featuring a full-scale community choir (who you can sing with, read to the end), The Christians asks profound questions about what we believe and why. Should be excellent and if you are in Edinburgh in August you can sneak a preview at the Traverse. Also an exciting cherry on this theatrical cake is a series of singing workshops inspired by The Christians, both in London and Edinburgh. These workshops will be open to all and aim to inspire creativity through singing. Hallelujah.  christians
