Tall building heads-up

A shard like building could be jabbing the sky near us as a Shard-lite designed by Renzo Piano is being planned for Paddington. It’ll be pretty tall at 65 storeys, a giant sandwich filled with layers of apartments (possibly empty), offices, restaurants and a roof garden. Sellar Property Group, which stacked up the Shard, have been employed to develop the site. If it gets the go-ahead, it will be built on the old Royal Mail sorting office site. The 1907 building was sold for £111 million in 2014 to the Singaporean company Great Western Developments. The one acre plot has great links to Heathrow and Crossrail is on its way.
