Unknown-9Book and Kitchen is hosting a Supper Club with Chris Golding (head chef of the Ampersnad Hotel and Apero Restaurant) all the proceeds with go to Cancer Research. Each of the six courses will have a cancer fighting ingredient. Tickets are £75, there will be music from Christof (no surname – very cool) and there are only ten tickets left. Oh and it is on 13th March doors at 7pm.

Alpaca warm things are for sale until Sunday 2nd March at the pop up shop on Portobello Road. Cardies, jumpers and scarves all lightweight and soft. Anyone who scratches with wool should be happy in Alpaca, which is supposed to be hypoallergenic and very warm. Forecast is for sleet today btw.

On Tuesday 4th March at 7pm Benn Watt is in conversation with John Niven in Lutyens and Rubinstein. Watt will be talking about the memoir he has written about his parents ‘Romany and Tom’, a book that is getting great reviews from the powers that read. Tickets are £8 and can be bought in store.

Marilyn Moore on Elgin Crescent is joining those shutting up shop with a closing down sale from 4th March to 9th March. Farewell. Cashmere will be from £59, there will be 70% off silk dresses and coats on sale from £99. 

Sound & Fury’s Going Dark is a great piece of innovative theatre about understanding the universe. It will be on at the Science Museum next week from Wednesday 5th to Sunday 9th March. This sold out twice at the Young Vic and got five stars by several nationals. I’m going.

On Friday 7th March, 7pm-10pm, the RR Gallery in St Peter’s Church will be hosting a charity art sale. All artists have  donated their work or given a percentage of the sale price towards the work of HELP Counselling Centre & The Dream Research Institute (DRI). Dreams are the theme of the evening and Dr Nigel Hamilton, Director of the DRI, will be speaking on ‘Dreams as Mirrors of the Soul’. Book tickets before 4th March if possible.

Finally QPR – local footy team – is playing Leeds on Saturday 1st March at 12.15pm. Tickets are still available. Go QPR.
