Spring Film Music Gala

The Notting Hill Orchestra for Film Music is gearing up for their Spring Film Music Gala Event, to be held for the first time at St James’s, Sussex Gardens, in Paddington, on Friday 21st April.  If you happen to have heard the orchestra’s sell-out concert last December, you’ll know that a very special night is in store.

The orchestra continues to grow and attract attention.  Artistically, this season is proving the most vibrant yet with each gala concert event delivering a programme of film favorites both classic and modern, as well as several world premieres of newly composed works.  Audiences will be treated to scores from such blockbusters as Spiderman, Star Wars and How to Train Your Dragon, which features original music from British-born composer John Powell.  Also on the ticket is music from legendary films including James Bond, Mission Impossible and Fiddler on the Roof.  Amidst the glamour, accomplished soloists (and orchestra founders) Rossi Dusheva and Ivelina Dusheva-Martial will perform solo and small ensemble pieces from the film oeuvre.

The orchestra is looking forward to performing at St. James’s, a well known London performance venue.  A larger, more accommodating venue for the orchestra and choir was necessary this season due to ever-increasing ticket demand.
