Speakeasy cinema in Notting Hill

Pop Up Screens is planning to transform the 20th Century Theatre in Notting Hill into a speakeasy, screening classic movies and serving cheeky cocktails. Yum – I’m in. Bit tired today so here’s the press release which says it all better than I could…

In true speakeasy fashion revelers will enter through a hidden door tucked away off Portobello Road. On Friday 13th March visitors will be bowled over by the Dude and drink White Russians as The Big Lebowski hits the big screen, Saturday 14th March it’s time to Cruise and enjoy the classic movie, Cocktail while sipping on a Red Eye, or for Ron burgundy fans there’s Anchorman and you guessed it…The Sex Panther.

On Sunday 15th March The Pop Up Screens Speakeasy will be screening The Goonies accompanied by A Baby Ruth Hard Milkshake (and an actual Baby Ruth Bar) and finally When Harry Met Sally will close proceedings with what else, but A Screaming Orgasm… sure to leave you saying ”I’ll have What She’s having”. Tickets are £22 and that includes three cocktails, a little alcoholic sweet treat and some nibbles too.  popupscreens
