A stitch in time

Sew Portobello, now a popular place to go and learn to stitch and have a chat, is staying open late on Friday 5 December for Christmas shoppers. Knitting and needlework is in full flow to create a range of handmade gifts, from mini Christmas stockings and jewel coloured velvet scarves and stoles (pic)
through to children’s retro corduroy play clothes and Liberty Print cushions and bolsters. The shop also has a continually changing stock of vintage and antique china and pottery from mid century pots to flowery deco tea sets. Some of the other small artisan shops in Portobello Green Arcade will also stay open until 7pm.  sewportobello
