Right Royal ride

In aid of local mental health and well-being charities The Right Royal Ride is a new cycle ride initiated by our Mayor, Councillor Maighread Condon-Simmonds. It will start and ending in Holland Park on Saturday 25th April, organised by The Kensington & Chelsea Foundation and Bikeminded, RBKC’s The Right Royal Ride is for everyone who can ride a bike – grannies, men fit or not and children large and small. Everyone will cycle as a group and be led on a bike ride of discovery across the Borough.

Registration is £5 for adults and £3 for children and participants will be encouraged to seek sponsorship to raise funds for local mental health charities. This is particularly needed in a borough where mental illness is the reality for many. North Kensington wards have the fourth highest number of patients on GP registers for severe and enduring mental illness in the whole of the UK. Everyone is invited to the post-ride celebration in Holland Park with food and drink, entertainment and information on the charities and their mental health and wellbeing services. Saturday 25th April at 10am in Holland Park, register at  eventbrite or contact Marina Kroyer, RBKC, 0207 361 4259[email protected]  For more about Bikeminded, RBKC’s great cycle training and everything bike related programme, click on bikeminded
