Pure gold at the ballet

The London Children’s ballet has announced that tickets have gone on sale for Rumpelstiltskin. Featuring a comic milliner, a web of spiders and a beautiful classical corps of spun gold, it is a great way to introduce children to ballet. The dancers, aged 9 – 14, were chosen at an open audition last Autumn and all their travel and expenses are paid for the by London Children’s Ballet. Set up to give young dancers, set and costume designers, choreographers and composers a platform to show their skills, the London Children’s Ballet was set up in 1994 by the energetic and inspiring Lucille Briance. The production will run at Sadler’s Wells’ Peacock Theatre in Holborn (central line for us) from 28th April to 1st May. www.londonchildrensballet.com/booktickets.html
