The Print Room has announced its Summer Season which kicks off on 27th April to 23rd May with As Good A Time As Any. This is a world premiere of an eight-woman play by Peter Gill. On 9th June to 27th June, D(are)/ Here Be Lions follows on. This has been created by Sandrine Buring and Stéphane Olry who are a choreographer and a playwright respectively. The resulting piece includes both. D(are) is a dance piece, performed inside a suspended glass laboratory bell jar. Here Be Lions refers to the term used in cartography for unchartered territories and is a play in response to the dance movement, voicing eight different characters.
Breakfast of Eels by Robert Holman is currently playing at the Print Room (in the old Coronet) and it centres around the relationship between two ‘almost’ brothers after the death of their father. I can’t wait to see it on Monday and if you are around over Easter this is a good one to watch. On to 11th April, most critics have given it four stars which is high praise. Oh and it was directed by Robert Hastie who was responsible for the recent revival of My Night With Reg. the-print-room
