We have all been invited to a lecture to hear the thoughts of Dame Colette Bowe on whether it is possible to run a successful business ethically. Dame Colette, who was named one of the most powerful women in the UK by BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour will be speaking at one of Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School’s leadership lectures.
Dame Colette really does sound amazing. She has worked in the City, in regulation and in Whitehall. She is chairman of the Banking Standards Board (BSB), chairman of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, as well as serving on the boards of the UK Statistics Authority, the Nuffield Foundation and the Department for Transport. She is also a Visiting Fellow of Nuffield College, Oxford.
The talk will focus on the differing moral codes and standards of business, with Dame Colette responding to the question: ‘Can you run a successful business ethically?’ This will be followed by a discussion and drinks reception.
All of the School’s Leadership Series events are generously free of charge and open to the public. Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School at 6.30pm on Monday 7th March. To reserve your place please email [email protected]
