On 15th March, the Ides of … you can join the Print Room team for more inspiring, cutting edge poetry. I Have waxed about this several times but it is always a grand evening with an hour of high class poetry read by the poets ‘what wrote it’ followed by quite a scene in the lush Print Room bar afterwards with wine and book signing. Tickets are a mere £10 and include a glass of wine. Fleur Adcock, Will Burns and Fiona Sampson (in pic) are the headliners for this event.
Fleur Adock received an OBE in 1996, and the Queen’s Gold Medal for Poetry in 2006 for Poems 1960-2000. She will be reading from a collection called the Land Ballot which deals predominantly with her late Father’s life in New Zealand.
