Planning the last farewell

Every time you listen to Desert Island Discs do you think what your favourite song is? If you are thinking ooh, that would be nice played at my funeral then The Big Conversation event is for you. Apparently it is Dying Matters Awareness Week and as roughly 500,000 people die each year in England it hopes to encourage people to talk openly about dying, death and bereavement. The Big Conversation is to help us plan for end of life events, including care, wills and funerals. How about this Twix coffin being tried out by Karl Pilkington (pic above) while investigating death culture in Ghana.  The Big Conversation is at AgeUK, 1 Thorpe Close, 12th May, 2.30pm – 6.30pm. dyingmatters
