Oxjam music festival coming to Notting Hill

A great line up of musicians is coming to Notting Hill for Oxfam fundraising concerts in three venues next weekend. One half of the electronic music duo Basement Jaxx, Felix Buxton (pic, on left) will be playing on Saturday afternoon at the Mau Mau bar, there will be swing bands playing 30s and 40s R&B at the Westbank Gallery in Acklam Road under the Westway from 3pm – 8pm. There will be swing lessons too, with Swing Dance UK. At the Elgin pub in Ladbroke Grove there will be folk and acoustic bands between 2pm -10pm.

Oxjam started 10 years ago as a music evening to raise funds for Oxfam in a North Irish pub. Since then it has grown, and in London alone eight Oxjams will be taking place on the 15th October.

It’s on at Mau Mau, Westbank Gallery, The Elgin. Saturday 15th October. Entry to all three venues, all day, for a bargain £8.55. Tickets here … oxjamportobello
