Rugby Portobello heads for the coast

images-6More news from Rugby Portobello Trust (RPT). It is hosting an annual opera gala evening on 18th June at The Holland Park Opera. Barber of Seville is this year’s ‘show’. Strutt and Parker and Lords of Notting Hill are sponsoring the evening. Money raised from this soiree will go towards a new RPT project – the St Mary’s Bay appeal. Now this is the really exciting bit, this project aims to transform 11 acres of land on the Kent coast to offer outdoor activities, including a swimming pool, alongside classrooms for courses and lessons. This new centre will be primarily of the use of RPT (it will also be for hire to make it sustainable) to teach inner city children about the countryside and the sea while providing mental and physical challenges. How fab it that. If you like the opera and want to support this new and wonderful initiative book now.
