New Pedro Almodovar film on at The Gate

New Pedro Almodovar film Julieta has had great reviews, and is a must for any fan of the master film maker. This is a return to a narrative about a woman, made with great sensitivity. Julieta is adapted from short stories by Alice Munro and follows Julieta, the middle-aged mother of Antía. Julieta hasn’t seen Antía for 12 years, and is about to leave Madrid, but a chance encounter makes her change her plans. It’s on at The Gate from Friday 26th August until Thursday 1st September. No good in this weather, but it’s bound to rain soon? More here … picturehouses
