Museums at Night

imgresMuseums at Night is organised by a group called Culture24 and is taking place on 15th-17th May. The Museum of Brands, Packaging and Advertising in Colville Mews is joining in on 15th May with a talk about classic beer advertising with Pete Brown; then on 16th May there will be a talk by consumer historian Robert Opie about the story of cigarettes. Both from 6pm-9pm and £10 a pop. Then at Kensington Palace there will be a Georgian Masked Ball and Sleepover  in one of the Staterooms, with a delicious breakfast the next day… or, if you are feeling fit and don’t mind travelling, you could head along to the Huntarian Museum at the Royal College of Surgeons (on Central line, near Holborn Tube). It’s a free event and you can just turn up, but it is a small place so better to book. There are other museums like the Sir John Soanes open too on the Museum Mile more about it all at
