Masaki Yada: become happier and more fulfilled

12_Rockn' RollIf you’re in Portobello Road one afternoon there is a Japanese artist, Masaki Yada (pic), who is currently showing at The Muse gallery. Some works are pure Japanese, beautifully crafted with a feeling of simplicity and stillness, others are inspired by European Old Masters which he spends up to six months on. Yada lives in Berlin now but studied in London, gaining an MA from Goldsmiths College. He says: “I wish more people to become happier and more fulfilled when they see my paintings.” The exhibition is small and uplifting, one to take time to enjoy and think about. At The Muse gallery Portobello Road, now until 11th October. Thursday – Sunday, 12pm – 6pm. themuseat269
