March Poetry at the Print Room

Another poetry evening at the Print Room is cresting the hill. Always a favourite with those who have been to one in the past. On 21st March at 7.30pm you can listen to Don Mee Choi and Denise Riley both reading their own work. Post readings there will be a discussion chaired by Sasha Dugdale of Modern Poetry in Translation (MPT) launching the Korean issue of MPT called In the Blue Vein. Don Mee Choi, was born in Korea but lives in the US, she is a poet  essayist and critic. Her latest volume of work ‘Hardly War’ was published to great applause in 2016. Denise Riley is a critically acclaimed writer of poetry and philosophy. Of her latest work ‘Say Something Back’ Andrew Motion said that it, “is a moving reminder that she’s one of the best poet’s around.”. High praise. Poetry buffs this one is not to be missed.

Tickets are £10 and you can meet the poets after the show and buy signed books while imbibing wine in the wonderful baroque bar in the old stalls. the-print-room
