Lorca at the Gate

Opening at The Gate Theatre on the 9th November is Yerma by Frederico Garcia Lorca. Yerma is barren in a time where to be barren means you are worthless. Yerma’s discovery of the secret behind her sentence leads to a crime of passion and revenge. Duh de duh de duhhhhhhh. Quality is associated with this production: Lorca for one, the Hull Truck Theatre Company, Natalie Abrahami is the director and it has been translated by Anthony Weigh. Not to be sniffed at and several performances have already sold out. www.gatetheatre.co.uk/
