Last bid to save Kensington Odeon

Lobbying group, Save the Kensington Odeon plans to hand a petition in on Thursday 27th August in a last bid to save the cinema from demolition. So far over 25,000 people have signed the petition, click here to sign now. Plans are to turn the site into more luxury flats (MLF) and have a small underground box cinema in place of what has been a local institution and the venue for many film premiers. Supporters of the Save the Kensington Odeon are a glittering set including Brian May, Elle Macpherson, Benedict Cumberbatch and K&C’s MP, Victoria Borwick. Campaigners now plan to meet at 4pm on Thursday 27th at the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, 100 Parliament Street SW1. Join the gang to demand that the demolition is halted and immediately order a public enquiry into the decision to allow this cultural gem to be lost. save-the-kensington-odeon
