Kung Hei Fat Choi

Join the colourful, very theatrical parade all around Trafalgar Square on Sunday, 10th February from 10am-11am to celebrate the Chinese New Year. Welcome in the year of the snake sssssssssss and say au’revoir to the year of the dragon Chinese-style. After the procession there will be performances from local groups and schools on Shaftsbury Avenue and in China Town you will find food and craft stalls as well as a large lion snake (lioake) which will dance through the crowds – works for me. Just before 6pm the whole day of Chinese-style celebration will be marked by a firework display ka-boom. Kung Hei Fat Choi or Happy New Year to you. www.thelondonchinatown.org.uk  AMANDA
