It’s all about you

Mimi Don't stare sweetie..This is such a good one you have to buy multiple copies to make all your friends happy. How often does a new comic book come out that is laugh-out-loud funny? This one is about a woman who really loves herself, it is all about ‘me’ so she is called Mimi. Her creator, who moved here 20 years ago from New York, is ex-graphic designer Denise Dorrance. She has children of her own who she says will probably need therapy when they grow up.  Dorrance says Mimi is based on her and her friends: “I have so many Mimi moments I could do 10 books. I do like her. She makes me laugh. It’s sort of creepy but I do see her as a real person, I know her so well and know how she reacts.” Dorrance is genuinely funny to talk to and she will be at The Notting Hill Bookshop, Blenheim Crescent on Wednesday, 26th March, 3pm-5pm where she will sign books, give you a free greetings card with every book bought plus a reduced price hardback book will be on offer. www.thenottinghillbookshop
