Oxjam brings live music to Portobello

imgres-5Notting Hill is the place to be for live music this Saturday. This year’s Oxjam festival, run by volunteers with thousands of bands playing in the UK to raise money for Oxfam’s work to relieve poverty, will have four live bands playing at four different venues on Portobello Road. There will be hip hop, funk and soul grooves at Mau Mau Bar, acoustic artists at Portobello Gold or Trailer Happiness, or watch some indie, rock and blues bands Devil Say Dance and folk-rock band Black River Wild at The Castle.  The Globe bar on Talbot Road will have reggae and bashment, this is what it sounds like … Bashment  until 2am.
