Come dine with me

Unknown-10Henrietta Green invites you to a pop-up feast in her dining room in Queen’s Park. Costs £40 for a five course feast including the pre-dinner nibbles (crab and ginger tartlets, for example) and a glass of Prosecco. Each feast will showcase a favourite producer, so on the 19th November, White Lake Cheese takes centre stage and on 26th November, Pipers Farm will be in the spotlight. Green will host and cook and her dining room can take up to ten, so it is an intimate evening which starts at 7.30pm and finishes at 11pm. Green won’t  be able to cater for individuals so it is worth checking the menus on her website before you book if you are intolerant or allergic to something. Henreietta Green is known as the best food finder in Britain (according to Nigella) and also won an award for one of her cook books from Julia Child. There will be a third run-up-to-Christmas feast on Thursday, 12th December. If you need a conversation lubricant bring a bottle as after the Prosecco it is BYO. Green is also taking bookings for private feasts or parties. I love this idea, a dinner party in someone elses house with delcious food and you don’t have to take a scented candle gift – five stars. AMANDA
