#IAMYEZIDI Photographic Exhibition

#IamYezidi is a photographic exhibition exploring the hardships being faced by the Yezidi women in Iraq. The Yezidi are a minority community in the Middle East who have been attacked by terrorist forces such as ISIS in an entirely inhuman, horrific and debasing manner. #IamYezedi explores the individual stories of women who have escaped slavery or rescued their sons & daughters from ISIS captivity.

The stories of their pain, sorrow and continued hardship, but also their iron resolve, commitment to righteousness, honour and will to survive, are captured through vivid portrait photography by award winning photo journalist Benjamin Eagle and Khalsa Aid. At Lacey Contemporary Gallery, 21st – 26th March. laceycontemporarygallery
