Hot news it is Climate Change Week

A series of free events are planned across Kensington and Chelsea to mark Climate Week, which runs from Monday 2nd March to Sunday 8th March. Take a tour of the largest community kitchen garden in the borough. Visit Olympia kitchen garden between 1.30 and 3pm on the 2nd, set on an unused platform at Olympia, and find out how you can grow your own food. Or you can meet the Climate Change Team to find out more about how to reduce your carbon footprint. Pick up some fresh food at the Imperial Farmers Market on Tuesday 3rd March from 10am to 1pm or again on Saturday 7th March at South Kensington Farmers Market from 9.30am to noon. Join a screening of ‘No Impact Man’, which tells the story of how one man gave up electricity, fossil fuel powered transportation and shipped food, at Kensington Town Hall on Wednesday 4th March from 6pm. Children can get involved with eco games and a treasure hunt in Holland Park on Sunday 8th March from 2pm at the Ecology Centre. climateweek
