Holland Park guidebook and bird ringing

Screen Shot 2014-08-28 at 18.27.57There’s a smart new guide to Holland Park which gives a short history of Holland House and information about the tennis courts, playing field, Ecology Centre and the park services with useful contact numbers and a really good map. Useful for all of us, but also really handy to give your visitors. Produced by the Friends of Holland Park it costs £2 from the reception in the Stable Yard or by contacting Rhoddy Wood from The Friends of Holland Park at [email protected] thefriendsofhollandpark

On 13 September there is a bird-ringing demo which sounds really interesting and a rare moment to get up close and personal with a bird bangle. It is at the park’s wildlife area 7.30am-11.30am, or in case you snore on, at 2pm there’s a flower walk which will also go into the folklore about some of the wildflowers. Meet at the Ecology Centre and you have to call 020 7938 8186 to book.
