Holland Park art exhibition coming up

Each Spring The Friends of Holland Park have an exhibition in The Orangery – one of the most spectacular locations in London. This year marks the 35th anniversary of The Friends of Holland Park Art Exhibition started by Sir Hugh Casson when he was President. It is a fantastic event – the standard of work is high and the prices are very affordable.

As well as the traditional exhibition of paintings, sculptures, cards and craft items, each year the work of a Friend is featured. This year our Feature Artist is Olivia Chalmers, a botanical artist and long-term Friend and exhibitor. Chalmers studied at the Harrow School of Art, discovering botanical art after taking classes at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Kew under the renowned Annie Farrar. Chalmers’ work is always popular (pic above) with visitors to the exhibition and her work looks especially fine in The Orangery.

The exhibition will take place in The Orangery, Holland Park on Saturday 1st April 1-6pm and then from Sunday 2nd – Sunday 9th April 10.30am – 6pm. Admission is free. thefriendsofhollandpark
