Heythrop College redevelopment news

A public consultation into the future of the Heythrop College on historic Kensington Square runs out on 3rd February. It is an extraordinary place. If you have ever crossed its threshold you will notice you have immediately travelled back in time to the 1950s. Run by nuns, it could almost be a set from Call the Midwife but is on fact a college which focusses on philosophy and theology as well as providing rooms for the students, housing the Dyslexia Teaching Centre and other counselling services. At the back is a surprise garden and tennis court, a hidden treasure and it is now being sold by the nuns. Locals and Heythrop College fans are keen to preserve it as an educational building rather than see it transformed into another block of luxury flats.
