Hand delivered hearts

Local artist Jane Procter has produced a set of hearts in time for Valentine’s Day. She says: “When I went to buy a Valentines card I came away empty handed – the cards had nothing to do with beauty or love.”  So she has painted a few gorgeous hearts and, just for you Notting Hill Post readers … all canvases could be hand delivered in RBKC in time for 14th February. janeprocter

BTW According to the BBC, surely not fake, the day gets its name from a famous saint, but there are several stories of who he was. The popular belief about St Valentine is that he was a priest from Rome in the third century AD. Emperor Claudius II had banned marriage because he thought married men were bad soldiers. Ridiculous, as we now know.
