Great Griffin art prize exhibition

Judges have selected ten artists from a huge pile of applications for the Griffin Art Prize shortlist exhibition to identify some of the UK’s best emerging artists. “It’s the highlight of our exhibition programme,” says projects manager Mathew Gibson. The prize is a national award for UK based recent graduates whose primary medium is painting or drawing and the winning artist is given a six-month residency in Griffin Gallery’s huge Notting Hill studio complete with a supply of art materials from Winsor & Newton, Liquitex and Conté à Paris and a solo exhibition at Griffin Gallery, showcasing work made during their residency and including a full catalogue.
