Free film night highlights slavery

Kensington and Chelsea will be holding a free film evening, in conjunction with Unchosen, to mark the International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Slavery and the Transatlantic Slave Trade.

A number of short films showing the impact of slavery in the UK today will be shown on Tuesday 28th March in the Small Hall of Kensington Town Hall from 6.30pm to 8pm. Doors open at 6pm. Organisations working to combat modern slavery will have stalls at the event and there will be a Q&A with a panel of local experts after the films.

Millions of people around the world and thousands in the UK are sold into exploitation and slavery every year – but it is a crime that takes place in the shadows. BTW: some of the films are rated 15, for more information and to book a free place unchosen2017kensington. and unchosen.
