Rattigan live at the Gate Cinema

Set in a flat on Ladbroke Grove in 1952, The Deep Blue Sea by Terrance Rattigan at the National will be beamed globally on September 1st. Nearest to Notting Hillies is the Gate Cinema but the Lexi also supports the National Live. Starring Helen McCory, Mystic Mog predicts it will sell out. Tickets are normally around £22 for adults and £10 for children. Here is the blurb to whet your appetite: When Hester Collyer is found by her neighbours in the aftermath of a failed suicide attempt, the story of her tempestuous affair with a former RAF pilot and the breakdown of her marriage to a High Court judge begins to emerge.

I’m booking now. I love National Live – great plays on screen with your feet up, you can pop to the loo mid production, eat popcorn and nip out for a second glass of wine. nt-live-the-deep-blue-sea
