Free cycle lessons as road injuries rise

Free cycling training for all adults who live, work or study in RBKC is on offer again this year and well worth doing if you look at the latest statistics – this year saw the highest number of cycling injuries for a decade with 16 London cyclists killed on the road and 3,926 slight injuries reported by bike riders. As cycling in London becomes more popular, accidents are going up and it is clear the main cause of deaths, more than half, are caused by collisions with lorries and vans, especially when they turn left at junctions and traffic lights.

If you would like to know how to deal with traffic, how to  position yourself to be seen by other traffic, good cycling routes for your everyday journeys and tips for riding at night or on rainy days.
