Clean tube stations but central line trains found to be filthy

As Holland Park tube, all shiny and with new lifts, is now open for business after a long cold winter, we thought we would let you know about a survey on website DrEd.com which sent a team of swabbers out to search for levels of bacteria in trains and stations. Happy to report that Notting Hill Gate, Ladbroke Grove and Holland Park all passed the clean and spotless test for ticket machines and barriers. But horror of horrors, our central line trains have the dirtiest seats of the whole tube network. Best take a little cushion next time you travel. Also central line trains have the third most germ-ridden top poles, so don’t grab onto one of those any tall people out there, unless you’re wearing some gloves or have hand sanitiser in your pocket. The full survey results are here … dred.com
