Children of Portobello & Golborne

Here’s a short film screening to raise money for Food Explorers, a non-profit community interest company that educates local children about the food they eat.  The Children of Portobello and Golborne is a lighthearted short film, created with children and for children, including research and commentary by Fox Primary and Bevington students telling the story of Portobello and Golborne markets over the last 150 years. As the students search for answers to their multitude of questions they experience the bustle of the market and learn about its vibrant multicultural community and food first-hand. There will be an exhibition on display at the screening with work from the students and a Q&A with the director, producer & stars. The film is just 20 mins at The Electric Cinema, Wednesday 2nd December, 4pm – 5pm. Tickets £10 for adults and £5 for children from eventbrite.co.uk and more about the Food Explorers here thefoodexplorers
