Pomona, a California style restaurant, is due to open on Hereford Road next month. Expect healthy platefuls of fresh produce. The chef who has created the menu is Gareth Sanderson, who used to cook at Hampshire’s The Thomas Lord, Druskos Namai Salt House (one of Vilnius’s top restaurants) and latterly at Le Butcher Group who travelled widely along the West Coast to gather recipes and ideas. On the menu will be tasty sweet potato toast, avocado, labneh, lime and cilantro gremolata, whatever that is. Pomona will be at 47 Hereford Road where The Commander used to be. Apparently it will look a bit like the pic above, hope you like pastel.
