Buy a Christmas tree and help African forests

The Christmas Forest is a pop up Christmas tree shop on the corner of Kensal Green and Harrow Road. Owner Andy Bryant works with the charity Tree Aid and says: “For every tree we sell, we plant one in Africa and this year are hoping to plant 200,000 trees.”

They are all farmed from sustainable sources – every tree cut is replaced by a new one – mostly in the UK to minimise ‘tree miles’.

Then indigenous trees will be planted in Africa. “These trees provide fruit, medicine, and protection to support communities living in some of the harshest places on the planet,” says Bryant. “It all starts with a single seed. Here’s to planting many more trees and spreading some of that Christmas joy as far as we can.” christmasforest
