Bush Theatre breaks out

The Bush Theatre has big plans for 2016 which include a renovation of the existing space to build in a second studio. During the building work the theatre will break out and will be presenting three plays in venues around the area including one in Notting Hill – The Tabernacle. Part of the project will be to create a new glass entrance down the side, building a workshop, increasing the capacity of the existing theatre by 20 per cent and making the venue fully accessible as well as greener and sustainable – with a living roof (grass). Roughly £4 million is needed to fund this fab project and so far The Bush has raised around 90 per cent but is still looking for the final tranche to make the tills ring. If you would like to donate, support or help in any way contact the team. Leading up to this move The Bush commissioned writer and poet Anthony Anaxagrorou to create a poem about the Bush Theatre – past, present and future – it is on Notting Hill Post a few posts down and is a moving piece (literally). bushtheatre
