Discover the journey of a royal dress – from the brief and consultation between designer and royal patron to the design and craftsmanship of the garment, then onto the styling, the event itself and finally its conservation. How much influence does the wearer have on the designer and vice versa? What do we do with these symbols of historic moments and what can these dresses tell us about the wearer and designer?
