Book now for 5×15's

Book now for next year’s 5×15’s. Some people just book the whole season they are now so popular. For the New Year, 21st Jan,  7pm, there is Paddy Ashdown fast-talking about WW2’s Cockleshell Heroes who carried out a 1942 raid on Nazi-occupied Bordeaux in canoes (left), Benedict Allen sharing his tales of adventure, Lucy Hughes-Hallet on a mysterious Italian poet, Cheryl Strayed on ‘lost and found’ (did she stray and then was found?) on a 1000-mile hike and Matthew Green on London’s lost coffeehouses. So careless. Then if you are super-organised and in the mood Iain Sinclair, Beeban Kidron, John Gray, Paul Mason and Salena Godden will be up for their 15 minutes on 25th February, 7pm at The Tabernacle. Tickets cost £20, but you might want to buy a Spring season ticket which will be on sale soon. Book at www.5x15stories.com

and if you have a quiet moment …

The council’s Planning and Borough Development department has released four documents which residents should comment on before 31st December. Something to ruminate on over the festive season. The four topics covered are Conservation and Design, Involving People in Planning, Basements and Miscellaneous Matters. Definitely worth a look. One is about how the planning office can best consult with us, the residents so worth having a say instead of a grrr… The documents can be read on the council website at www.rbkc.gov.uk/planningandconservation/planningpolicy.aspx
