At Last, more Patrick Melrose

Notting Hill author Edward St Aubyn has penned the latest and last of the gripping Patrick Melrose series. Following on from Some Hope and Mother’s Milk, At Last takes place at mother Eleanor Melrose’s funeral and the gathering that follows. Of St Aubyn’s books, The Independent’s Suzi Feay writes: ‘They are hilarious and terrifying, shot through with pain and wisdom and written in the most extraordinary cold, pure style: rockets of wit exploding like flares to highlight the bleakness of the terrain.’
