Albion opens at the Bush

Unknown-3Albion by Chris Thomson opens at the Bush Theatre on 12th September  – 25th October. Local theatre tom tom drums tell me this is really very good – so I have booked. The Albion is an East End boozer (think the Queen Vic) and is where the English Protection Army meets – you get the idea, a play which takes a look at the rise of the far right in Britain and how far right it can go. Btw Thompson was a social worker before he picked up his pen and worked in child protection and with young offenders. When you are booking your tics look out for the buy two get one free deal where you book for two plays this season and you can see the third gratis. Also The Bush are offering you the chance to Grow a Play… You sponsor a play for just £12 a month or a one off payment of £144. You then become a member of the 144 Club with all kinds of wonderful benefits including your name in the original playtext. Nice idea. bushtheatre
