Local teenagers in desert run to save lives

In Ethopia on Sunday my older brother Harry and I will be among 40,000 runners in the Great Ethiopian run to raise money for the Addis Ababa Fistula Hospital. It was founded by Dr Catherine Hamlin in the 50s and has cured thousands of women with Fistula. [When there is internal ripping and holes made when a baby cannot be born as the pelvis is not big enough due to malnourishment]. It is obviously traumatic to lose a baby as well as become incontinent. As a result we were inspired to try and contribute to the Hospital’s efforts. Often the women are ostracised by their communities, so the hospital also provides psychological support and care. The Big Give are matching any donations. My Just Giving link is justgiving.com
