A cappella music on a Saturday night

Skolia, the amazing and award winning, local choir will be singing part of the Brandenburg Concert series on Saturday evening from 6pm – 7pm in St James Church, Sussex Gardens W2. Expect an interlude of incredibly peaceful, beautiful a cappella music. Some set to poetry, some an homage to the Virgin Mary and others just simply sublime. The centrepiece is Barber’s Agnus Dei but it is surrounded with music by such illustrious composers as Rachmaninov, Arvo Part and Ola Gjeilo and most excitingly the Patron of this year’s Brandenburg Concert Series American composer Morten Lauridsen. It only last’s an hour and you will be musically transported. brandenburg and skolia
